Property Inquiry Service for Deceased Persons, also known as “Safe Inheritance One-Stop Service”
In the case where a Korean parent has passed away, the person with the inheritance rights can apply for a consolidated property inquiry of the deceased. Applications can be made within 6 months from the end of the month in which the death occurred. The service allows for the inquiry of financial assets, overdue taxes, and land ownership details.
If the deceased was a foreign national but had property in Korea, financial assets can still be verified through the Financial Supervisory Service.
